Bought the digital transformation ticket and got the bus ...

by Helen
External Relations Director

On day one of lockdown and home working, I bought the ticket and got on the digital transformation bus.

A virtual bus at that. It was an easy purchase to make - no ifs, no buts, no hums, no haws. One day I was on the external relations bus, the next day it was a virtual external relations bus.

It could be called inside/outside business development, stakeholder engagement, or networking, but whichever way you cut it, it’s about people,  people,  people. And I wanted to stay with people.

Adapting to the new normal

With the only way to do this being virtually, I boarded the Digital Transformation bus. I do miss what all humans do naturally, human networking, real face-to-face meetings, real hugs and handshakes. These are a staple requirement for us humans and the need won’t go away, but for now, the virtual bus is for me. And for the next forever, it’ll be part face-to-face, part virtual, all on the same bus.

Support has been important

Now accelerating through self-change, I’m thoroughly enjoying the journey, which has been made so much easier because of the strong support from my colleagues, family, and friends who are all there for me, virtually.

If you want to jump on board and find out more about how to digitally transform your business, here’s our latest program of virtual discussions and webinars
