eCom has been delighted to welcome two local undergraduates to our Technology team this summer as part of the eCom Internship Programme. Meighan Barr, studying Applied Computing at the University of Stirling, and Callum Nicholson, studying Computer Science at the University of Dundee, have been getting real hands-on experience and making a positive contribution.
The interns have been working jointly on a project to centralise all client project data into a single management hub, which will further improve eCom’s support of clients. They have had the chance to work with a range of new applications and get a better insight into web development. Meighan and Callum have created a dynamic intern partnership and ably demonstrated eCom’s belief that more can be achieved together.
Wendy Edie, Managing Director of eCom, said, "We have loved having Callum and Meighan as part of the eCom team. Investing in the growth of our staff and the wider community is one of eCom’s core values. Over the years we’ve seen the mutual benefits of internships, with students bringing new ideas and profiting from mentoring by experienced industry professionals."
