The Scottish Joint Industry Board (SJIB) founded in 1969 is the awarding body responsible for developing and delivering high quality training schemes and managing the end point assessment for Apprentice Electricians.
The Board were keen to capitalise on the benefits of implemeting an online assessment tool, such as the reduction in administration-related time and costs, better reporting functionality and having visibility of a clear audit trail.
A secure and easily accessible online solution was essential due to the observational nature of the assessment.
Following indepth discussions with SJIB, we identified our eNetAssess tool as the most appropriate solution to helping them to achieve their objectives.
Using eNetAssess provided a number of clear advantages to SJIB:
- With results being recorded and available in real-time, students no longer had the agonising wait to discover results. Real-time results also benefited the assessors in that they could provide a marked examination minutes after the examination had been completed.
- SJIB now have complete tracking, monitoring and reporting of individual responses with the ability to assess question performance.
- eNetAssess also allows for easier editing of questions; the positive environmental impact of using an online system instead to paper based assessment.
eCom are delighted to be able to provide SJIB with a system that allows for modular development, evolving with them and are looking forward to collaborating on future projects.
